Taste like great memories

It's time to harvest fruits in our garden. This is first year to harvest Black Berries and Strawberries. I love their sweetness and sourness.  And we also enjoy yummy Plums and Lemons. I love harvesting fruits because the fruits always tell us the season and lead us to remember our great old memories. I always remember my mom's homemade plum juice and pickled plums (Umeboshi) when I harvest plums. Even though I harvest in Berkeley, I still think that we are connected by memories about plums. This is how I enjoy and thank for harvesting fruits. Come to our garden to harvest with me if you are around. I want to enjoy harvesting together and hope to make great memories for next generations.

We share strawberries with squirrels. (sometime I need to be competitive....)

Black berries are protected by these prickly stems. (I hope we can manege their wildness.)

Honeyed Lemons are my favorite!

We need a ladder to pick plums at the top of trees. (Birds can get them easily.......)
